Govt offices in Kerala to be completely operational from Monday
Thiruvananthapuram: Following the relaxation in the lockdown over the coronavirus outbreak, the state government has issued an order to turn all government offices completely operational from Monday.
All employees are directed to report for duty without failure. At the same time, offices in hotspots and containment zones are exempted from this order.
Apart from government offices, all public sector firms and semi-government offices and cooperative firms are directed to resume operations completely from Monday. Offices in containment zones must make arrangements to carry out daily activities with limited staff.
Differently-abled, people suffering from serious ailments, parents of children suffering from autism/cerebral palsy and other physical or mental challenges will be exempted from service at the maximum. Mothers of children below the age of 1 and pregnant women who completed 7 months are also exempted from joining service on Monday. They will be allowed to work from home.
At the same time, Saturday will be a holiday for all government offices.
Employees must be keen to complete the works of all pending files and the head of the office must ensure this, the government order directed.
