Govt offers job to Vineeth, financial aid to Chitra
Thiruvananthapuram: The state government on Wednesday decided to offer employment to footballer C K Vineeth.
The decision to appoint him as the Secretariat Assistant was taken at the Cabinet meeting today. Earlier, he had lost his job at AG’s office due to poor attendance.
A player of Indian football squad, Vineeth will be playing for Kerala Blasters again in the new season of Indian Super League.
The Cabinet also decided to extend financial assistance to athlete P U Chitra. She will be given Rs 25,000 a month for training which means Rs 10,000 as monthly allowance plus Rs 500 per day as food allowance. This followed her request to the government for a job.
Chitra was in the news recently after she was dropped from the Indian squad or the World Athletic Championship in London by the Athletic Federation of India. She had won gold in 1500 metre race in the recent Asian Athletic Championship.
Chitra had also won gold for 3000 metre race in the 2013 Asian Athletic Championship.
