Thiruvananthapuram: The special casual leave granted for employees who came in primary contact with the Covid 19 patients at the government, state-owned enterprises and public sector undertakings were revoked in the state.

The Disaster Management Authority has released an order repealing one-week special casual leave permitted in view of the pandemic spread.

Those who had primary contact with Covid 19 patients have to inform this in the office and abide by the Covid protocol including self-observation and social distance while working. The order also specified that the staff should follow the recommendations of the health department once Covid symptoms appear.
