Govt conspiracy behind Manithi outfit: K Surendran
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP leader K. Surendran alleged that the state government’s conspiracy is the driving force behind the Manithi outfit which brought a group of women of the barred age group to Sabarimala temple.
He also accused that everything was planned with the support of the government and it is the police and the government which brought the Manithi outfit from Tamil Nadu.
‘Normally, vehicles are not allowed to enter from Nilakkal to Pampa. The police block even the pilgrims but give all support to the ritual violators. The police’s moves are thoroughly planned and is a challenge to the devotees," K. Surendran said.
Surendran added that the devotees want the government to withdraw from dangerous actions. Though the government repeat they would not force any women to ascend Sabarimala hills, the police are helping young women to enter the temple which results in protests, K Surendran added.
