Govt and police alone can’t stop violence in state, says Minister MV Govindan

Minister MV Govindan

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister MV Govindan said that attacks and violences cannot be stopped by the government and police alone. The communal groups that plotted the murders in Palakkad have a definite agenda behind it. Hence, it is the assaulters who have to take the first step to stop violence in the state, the minister said.

A unity among people has to be built for resisting such assaults. But, instead, the media is always busy in attacking the government and police, MV Govindan said.

After slaughtering each other, RSS and SDPI blame the government for the murders. Both these groups are consciously attempting to invoke communal riots in the state. MV Govindan added that the violences are being unleashed to display the strength of these groups.
