Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala governor Arif Mohammed Khan invited four cabinet ministers for a discussion over dinner at Raj Bhavan on Thursday to clarify over the eight bills passed in the assembly.

Minister of Industries and Law P Rajeev, Minister of Higher Education R Bindu, Minister of Co-operation VN Vasavan, and Minister for Animal Husbandry J Chinchu Rani will attend the meeting. The governor will seek explanation from the ministers over the bills which were not signed yet.

The governor had expressed his dissatisfaction over the amendments limiting the powers of Lok Ayukta, removing governor as chancellor of universities, increasing number of members in the search committee for vice chancellor’s appointment in favour of the state government, and imparting voting rights for the administers in Milma and other co-operatives.

Though the state government sought governor’s approval for the presentation of the bill in connection with the syndicate election in Calicut University, he did not give a nod. All these issues will be discussed in the meeting between the governor and ministers.
