Thiruvananthapuram: The representatives of PSC rank holders on Friday held talks with Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan in regard to the ongoing protest staged outside the Secretariat. After the discussions, the protesters told the media that the Governor has promised them to look into the matter.

BJP leader Sobha Surendran, who is also staging a protest near Secretariat, initiated the talks between the protesters and the Governor.

“We are happy, we could meet the Governor and convey our issues. He has promised to consider our demands. We will not refuse anyone who supports our protest. That is why we accepted conciliatory talks with DYFI. When BJP leader Sobha Surendran helped us to hold discussions with the Governor, we made use of that opportunity,” they said.

Meanwhile, the protest in front of the Secretariat entered day 25. While a hunger strike is being staged here, on Friday some of them even took to symbolic fish sales.
