Guruvayur: Kerala governor Arif Mohammed Khan offered ‘thulabharam’ at Guruvayur temple on Saturday evening.

He offered 83 kg of ‘kadali’, a variety of banana, to the temple.

He paid a bill of Rs 4,250 at the Devaswom counter as the cost of bananas.

In return, the governor accepted the ‘prasadam’ from Devaswom chairman Dr VK Vijayan. It consisted of ‘thirumudi mala’, silk, and ‘payasam’.

Arif Khan described the visit to the temple as a divine experience.

Earlier, he was welcomed at the guesthouse by the Devaswom board officials and Chavakkad tehsildar MK Indu.
