Governor an agent of RSS and Amit Shah, alleges Ramesh Chennithala
Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala alleged that Governor Arif Mohammad Khan is an agent of Amit Shah and RSS. He also said that the governor is the bridge between the Central Government and the State Government. He was speaking to the media after boycotting the Governor’s policy address in the Assembly Session.
Ramesh Chennithala also accused Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of double stance, saying that the nexus between the Government and the Governor has now been exposed. The human chain was nothing but a drama, he added.
"The CM had to fall down at the feet of the Governor. Why is he silent against the Governor who insulted Kerala?" Ramesh Chennithala asked. This is the Chief Minister’s ploy to escape from Lavlin case. He also asked the Chief Minister to support the Opposition’s resolution against the Governor.
He also alleged that the watch and ward personnel attacked the Opposition members during the protest. The Speaker violated the protocol by calling the watch and ward personnel inside the Assembly.
“Khan should look at the former Governor P Sathasivam as his model. The Opposition stands by its demand to recall the Governor” he said.
Earlier in the day, the Congress-led opposition waylaid Khan in the floor of the Assembly amidst shouting of slogans. It was only after the legislators were forcefully removed, was Khan able to move forward to the podium to read out his address to the Assembly.
