Alappuzha: The Kerala government has sanctioned the full commission of ration shop dealers. The government sanctioned Rs 29.51 crore, including Rs 15.05 crore that was withheld.
The government had promised to pay the full commission by November 30. For the 2022-23 financial year, Rs 384.23 crore has been allocated as commission. The commission for November would be distributed by the first week of December.
It has been directed that the arrears to the welfare fund should only be collected with the consent of the traders.
Meanwhile, the government reduced the rice allocation for white card holders. They will only receive 6 kilograms of rice in December.
