Give police protection for orthodox faction to enter Piravom church: HC
Kochi: The High Court on Friday ordered to provide police protection for orthodox faction to enter the Piravom church.
The HC clarified that the Supreme Court through its order in the K S Varghese case has given a final verdict in the church dispute case.
In this situation, priests belonging to orthodox faction have the right to enter the Piravom church and conduct mass while the orthodox faithful have the right to attend the mass. These rights must be exercised, the HC directed.
To help the orthodox faction exercise their rights, the HC directed the police to provide adequate protection avoiding law and order problems.
