Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Friday ruled that the students should be given three days’ time to submit application for the admission to Plus One courses once the CBSE Class X results are published.
Dismissing the government’s petition against extension of date, the Division bench said that the government’s stance is incorrect.
“As far as students are concerned, education is of utmost importance. Nobody can deny it. Hence, CBSE students should also be given a chance for Plus One admission,” the court noted.
Earlier, the High Court single bench had issued an order allowing students to submit applications till June 5. The government approached the court challenging this order.
However, the division bench issued a revised order stating that the students should be given three days’ time to submit applications after the declaration of CBSE exam result.
Now, the Plus One admission in the state will be completed according to declaration of CBSE Class X results.
