Girl who asked for money to buy food gangraped in Kasaragod; 3 arrested

Kasaragod: A girl who asked for money to buy food was gangraped in the Vidyanagar police station area. The girl who asked for help was first raped by a local resident. She told police that the man took her to different places where several people raped her.

According to the complaint, the girl was raped first after being drugged. The Kasaragod police registered a complaint. Police have arrested J Shinith Kumar (30), N Prasanth (43), Mokshit Shetty (27) in the case.

The girl went to a hospital for treatment due to her mental and physical problems. She revealed the details of the rape during a counselling session at the hospital.

The Kasargod police initiated an investigation into the matter following this. Police said more arrests would be made as the investigation progresses.
