Pala: A student who left home early morning to attend exams was found in an injured state with head injuries. The student was identified as Tintu Maria John, 26, from Valiya pally in Pala. She was taken to the Kottayam Medical College hospital and police said that she has crossed the critical state. There are reports that a person has been taken into custody.
The incident happened on Wednesday, 150 metres away from the residence of the student, at about 5 am. The girl told police that she was on her way to write exams in Ernakulam when someone attacked her. Police said that a sharp weapon was used to hit the girl on her head. The girl fell unconscious and was bleeding on the road. She was spotted by the morning walkers. Pala police reached the scene with dog squad and conducted examination.
The girl belongs to Ettumanoor and had moved to a rented place at Valiya Palli very recently along with her mother and 2 sisters. Police suspect mystery into the incident. Pala CI Sunil Thomas-led team is conducting investigation into the incident.
