Mannarkkad: CPM leader PK Sasi is on a sticky wicket as evidence corroborating allegations against him has surfaced.
As per the latest reports, documents of Sasi's fund manipulation have surfaced. The documents were submitted to the Mannarkkad area committee along with other evidence.
The records of Rs 10 lakh transferred to Sasi's rural bank account for the construction of the area committee office and Rs 10 lakh transferred to his account during the district conference were released.
In addition to that, the records of forging an address proof in his sister’s home address for becoming the chairman of Universal College, have surfaced.
The report based on the investigation carried out by state secretariat member Puthalath Dinesan will be submitted before the state leadership soon.
The issue was discussed in the Mannarkkad area committee meeting the other day. A total of seven major documents were given by various members against the leader.
These include the records of the purchase of shares of Universal College from a CPM-ruled co-operative bank for Rs 5.6 crore, 35 appointments made without the knowledge of the party in various societies of the Mannarkkad Circle Cooperative Department and forged address proof, among others.
However, Sasi maintained that these were only allegations levelled as part of the factionalism against him. The state committee will be taking the final decision on the matter.
