Kollam: With the controversial revelation made by Kerala Congress (B) former leader Saranya Manoj, MLA K B Ganesh Kumar’s entry to UDF has become a closed chapter. One faction of Congress was on a mission to bring back Kerala Congress (B) into the UDF fold. Though Ganesh Kumar rejected reports on this, he partially agreed to this move as per reports.

This move was made under the leadership of Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala. When A group leaders brought this to the attention of Oommen Chandy, he expressed disagreement. As per reports, Congress and Kerala Congress held discussions many times within 6 months.

As a result of Manoj’s revelation, even discussions in this regard would not take place. RSP leader and former minister Shibu Baby John expressed his disagreement against Ganesh Kumar the other day. Many party leaders believe that A group leaders are behind the revelation of Manoj.

Though Ganesh Kumar was elected MLA after joining LDF, Kerala Congress (B) was unhappy for not getting a minister post. Though the party had tried to merge with NCP to get minister post after A K Saseendran resigned due to a controversy, the move was unsuccessful. With this, the party leaders wanted to return to UDF.
