Freedom fighter's pension hiked; dearness relief for state pensioners to be distributed

Thiruvananthapuram: The pension for freedom fighters from Kerala has been raised to Rs 14,080, effective from April 1, 2023. The previous amount was Rs. 11,000. In addition, the state cabinet has announced the payment of dearness relief for state service pensioners under 2019 pension reforms

The tenure of 56 special fast-track courts and special public prosecutors, established on a temporary basis, will be extended until March 31, 2026. This decision will be implemented from April 1, 2023, aligning with the three-year extension granted by the union government.
