Kochi: On International Women's Day, women can travel free on Kochi Metro. Unlimited free travel is allowed from any station.
Also, there will be distribution and awareness classes on Menstrual Cups at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Station at 10.30 am. The menstrual cup will be distributed free of cost at Edappally, MG Road, Aluva, Kalamassery, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Ernakulam South and Vyttila stations.
There will be a ‘Break the Bias’ women cyclothone from Pathadipalam to JLN Station at 2.30 pm. Flash mob and fashion show will be held at Kaloor station at 4.30 pm. Music and Mohiniyattam at Aluva station from 3 pm. Kalarippayattu at Edappally station from 4 pm and at Aluva station from 5.30 pm. Gifts will be distributed to women who has travelled the most in metros. Street play and dance performance by SBOA school students at Kadavanthra station will be held at 5 pm.
Women's day cultural programme at Jose Junction, music band conducted by St. Teresa's College students and an awareness class on Ayurvedic treatment for KMRL women employees will also be held.
