Former Crime Branch Chief Tomin Thachankary hints Jasna is still alive

Kochi: Former Crime Branch Chief Tomin Thachankary stated that Jasna's family can still hope for the best. He said that the pandemic occurred at a time when there was a lot of progress in the case and that it affected the investigation. Tomin Thachankary was speaking at a special interview given to Mathrubhumi News.

Thachankary stated that Jasna’s case was investigated by Pathanamthitta SP KG Simon. There was a lot of progress in the case at that time. However, that was when the pandemic occurred and the investigation team could not go to Tamil Nadu as part of the investigation.

The investigation was led on the basis of phone calls. The investigation came to a standstill when information regarding the vehicle in which she travelled was received. Simon will retire on December 31. He is still on this case. There is still hope for the family, Thachankary said.

Jasna went missing on 2018, March 22 while she was travelling to her relative’s house. She was a second year UG student in St. Dominics college at Kanjirappally. The case was investigated by local police before it was taken over by Crime Branch.
