Palakkad: Kasaba Police arrested former CPM branch secretary for allegedly trying to film bathroom visuals of a woman using a mobile phone. The accused is identified as Shajahan, former CPM branch secretary of Kodumbu Ambalaparamb. Police nabbed him from Tamil Nadu. Shajahan was on the run after police booked him over the woman's complaint.
CPM had on the last day ousted him after he was named as an accused in the case.
Palakkad South Police booked him based on the complaint filed by a woman alleging that he tried to record bathroom visuals on a mobile phone. The woman’s family recovered the phone from the premises of their house. The complaint was submitted along with the phone as evidence.
The incidents leading up to the case took place on June 11. The woman saw a hand extending through the bathroom’s ventilator. She screamed following which the man ran away. The mobile phone was later recovered from the premises of her house.
