Thiruvananthapuram: Former MLA and Congress leader Punalur Madhu passed away on Monday night. He was 66. He died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram due to heart-related ailments.
He previously held the office of KSU State President, Youth Congress State General Secretary, KPCC Member and Travancore Devaswom Board Member. In 1991, he contested from the Punalur constituency and won. He is currently member of the KPCC Executive Committee.
The funeral will be held at the residence on Tuesday at 5 pm Wife: O Kamalam, Son: Manish Vishnu, Daughter-in-law: Devi Jayalakshmi.
