Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister of Kerala and veteran Congress leader Oommen Chandy has been hospitalized again due to viral pneumonia.

His son Chandy Oommen disclosed the information through his Facebook post. He has requested people to pray for his father’s speedy recovery.

Visitors are not allowed at the hospital, he said in his post.

The 79-year-old leader was airlifted to HCG Hospital in Bengaluru after being diagnosed with throat cancer earlier this year.

Oommen Chandy's brother Alex V Chandy had come out in public, alleging that the former was denied proper scientific care.
