Thiruvananthapuram: The fare in low-floor air conditioned KSRTC buses have been reduced by 25 percent on three days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The low-floor bus conducts services on Ernakulam – Thiruvananthapuram (via Kottayam and Alappuzha) and Ernakulam – Kozhikode routes.
The ticket fare from Thiruvananthapuram to Ernakulam is Rs 445 on normal days and Rs 346 on concession days. The concession will come into force from December. Similarly, the fare has been reduced on superfast buses too.
After the Covid pandemic, the authorities decided to limit the number of passengers. The increase in fare corresponding to it is avoided now.
