Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Food and Civil Supplies G R Anil said that the ration cardholders in the state can receive their Onam special food kit even after Onam.
Over 61 lakh families were given Onam kit till Thursday and the number will touch 70 lakh by Friday, the minister said.
He added that some merchants are spreading lies about Onam kit, but the government does not want to get into baseless controversies.
The minister received Onam kit from his native place Niramankara.
