Kochi: Beleaguered flat owners of Maradu will file a writ petition in the Kerala High Court challenging the directive of the Supreme Court to demolish the flats following violation of coastal regulation act. The flat owners are preparing to move the HC against Maradu municipality.
The SC had ordered demolition of flats by September 20 for violating CRZ rules and submit the report soon. The municipality had issued notices to the flat owners following the SC order. The flat owners are planning to move a writ petition but they are not sure of the legal formalities.
The residents of the flats in Maradu had filed a curative petition at the SC the other day challenging the demolition. This petition has been accepted by the court.
