Pathanamthitta: Police suspect that the Thrissur youth Shuhaib arrested for flashing at a lady doctor during the virtual consultation has done the act intentionally and premeditated.
Prior to his appointment with the lady doctor, the accused is said to have consulted two male doctors. He flashed at the lady doctor who was his third appointment for almost three minutes, police say.
The 21-year-old Thrissur native was arrested from his house on Monday night based on a complaint filed by a doctor of the Government Medical College in Konni.
He was tracked by police based on the personal details furnished to create a profile in eSanjeevani.
According to police, the accused booked an appointment from 11 am to 12 pm on Saturday. He started flashing at the lady doctor without showing his face. The doctor immediately took screenshots and filed a complaint before Aranmula Police.
Police booked him under charges in IT Act, obstructing public servants in the discharge of public functions, insulting the modesty of a woman among others.
The accused is being questioned at Aranmula police station. The complainant works under the mental health department of Government Medical College, Konni.
