Thiruvananthapuram: A fisherman drowned after his boat capsized in Anchuthengu here on Monday. The deceased was identified as Babu, hailing from Puthanmannu. The body has been shifted to Chirayankeezh Taluk Hospital.
The incident happened around 5:45 am on Monday. A boat that went for fishing across Muslim Church in Anjuthengu, capsized due to rough weather and high waves.
It is learned that three people were thrown overboard as a result of strong waves. The other two fishermen were rescued.
