Thiruvananthapuram: The government has invited the fisherfolk protesting against Vizhinjam port to hold discussions. The Latin Archdiocese accepted the invitation by V Abdurahiman, Minister for Fisheries, calling for a meeting over the matter.
The move came after the protest led by the Latin Archdiocese in front of Vizhinjam port completed three days on Thursday. It is reported that the minister will hold talks with the protesters on Friday. But the place and time of the meeting have not been decided so far. A decision regarding this will be taken once the minister returns from Delhi.
