First Hajj flight to take off from Kannur airport on June 4

Kozhikode: The first flight from Kerala carrying Hajj Pilgrams to Jeddah will depart from Kannur and Karipur Airports on June 4. The flights will leave Kannur and Karipur Airports at 1.45 am and 4:25 am on June 4. The Hajj flights from Kochi International Airport will commence journey at 11:30 am on July 7.

13 flight services from Kannur, 44 from Karipur and six from Kochi will offer Hajj services to Jeddah.

Air India Express is conducting services from Karipur and Kannur Airports and Saudi Airways from Kochi International Airport.

A total of 11,121 people were selected from Kerala to travel for the Hajj pilgrimage, including 6,831 women and 4,290 men. A total of 1,369 pilgrims are above the age of 70 years.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan would inaugurate the Hajj Camp in Kannur on June 3.
