Thrissur: Four individuals involved in a firecracker-making occupation sustained injuries in a mishap that happened at Varavoor Palakkal Temple here on Sunday.
The incident happened around 1 pm while they were filling ‘kathina’ (a special type of pyro-technique in which a cracker bursts by producing a loud sound and tremor).
The affected individuals have been identified as Shyamjith, Rajesh, Shyamlal and Shabari. All were rushed to Thrissur Medical College.
The condition of two among them is critical as they suffered 90 percent burn injuries. The other two suffered burn injuries in the range of 30 to 40.
