Kochi: A building housing around 30 offices here caught fire on Saturday. The fire was reported in the building of Geo Infotech, located behind a hotel opposite the Infopark police station.
Firefighters are currently on the scene trying to extinguish the flames and additional fire engines have been called in to assist.
The fire started at around 6 pm. Fire in the two-storey building has reportedly injured a few people. No casualties have been reported so far. There are reports that some staff are still trapped inside.
Ambulances have been requested to be on standby as the fire is suspected to have spread. Burst sounds are also reported. The establishment was understaffed as it was the second Saturday.
