Fire Force rescues python trapped in pipe

Kochi: Fire Force rescued a 6 feet long python which got trapped in a pipe fixed to drain rainwater at CBI colony in Ernakulam. The python was taken out from the pipe after two hours long struggle.

It is reported that the python got trapped inside the pipe while moving through it after devouring something. It was found inside the pipe around 12.30 pm. Natives informed the fire force and they rushed to rescue the python.

The python was rescued without any injuries.

“It was impossible to rescue the python by cutting the pipe at the spot. Hence, the area of the pipe where it got stuck was cut and taken to Fire station at Kadavanthra. Following this, the python was taken out after cutting the pipe with a cutter,” said station officer A Unnikrishnan.

Fire force personnel handed over the python to the forest department.
