Fire force officials turn saviours for puppy stuck in tar

​Ernakulam: Fire Force officials at Pattimattom here turned saviours for a dog seeming nine-month-old, which got stuck in tar.The incident happened on Monday near Gurukulam Engineering College in Kadayiruppu here. It is learnt that the puppy got stuck in the tar after a barrel containing tar fell on the road.

As the dog started to whimper, a youngster who happen to notice it tried to help it. However, his attempt failed and he contacted the Fire Force officials to save the animal.

The personnel applied diesel to the puppy’s body to loosen the tar. It took hours to pull the dog out of the tar but the officials did not lose their cool in the task. After rescuing the dog, they took care of its health and found time to feed it.
