Kozhikode: The fire force authorities rescued a 15-year-old boy who was in critical condition after a ring got stuck in his genitals. The Class 10 student, who is a resident of Feroke, was taken to the medical college on Sunday morning. The doctors informed the fire and rescue service.
The Vellimadukunnu fire station officials cut the steel ring out using a special flexible shaft. The process was completed with the help of doctors.
His penis was swollen as the ring was small in size. Doctors pumped water using a syringe to prevent the machine from heating up during the process.
According to the hospital authorities, the boy said that he did it on Saturday after watching YouTube videos.
