Fire breaks out at car showroom in Thrissur
Thrissur: A massive fire erupted inside a car showroom in Kuttanellur, Thrissur on Saturday. Seven fire brigade units have arrived at the spot and are attempting to douse the fire.
As per reports, the fire, which was spotted around 6.30 am, began at the rear side of the building and later spread inside the showroom. Three cars, including new ones, were gutted in the fire.
“The fire has been brought under control. However, we have not been able to douse it completely. Efforts are underway,” said district fire officer Arun Bhaskar.
According to preliminary assumption, the presence of oil on the floor of the vehicle service centre inside the building led to the fire.
Reportedly, the residents of the area, who had spotted the fire, informed the service centre employees and the fire force.
