Financial irregularities in UNA: Crime Branch registers case
Thiruvananthapuram: The Crime Branch registered a case in connection with the financial irregularities in United Nurses Association (UNA).
As many as 4 UNA officials have been booked. The prime accused is UNA national president M Jasminshah. UNI state president Shobi Joseph, office staff Jithu, driver Nidhin Mohan are the others. Sections related to forging documents and cheating have been registered against the accused.
UNA vice president C B Mukesh had registered a complaint stating that there were irregularities to the tune of Rs 3 crore in UNA. The DGP on Monday had ordered to register a case and probe the complaint.
The Crime Branch had twice held preliminary investigations following complaints of financial irregularities to the tune of Rs 3 crore in UNA. The Crime Branch had sought forensic examination of documents as part of a detailed investigation. The DGP’s order comes after Crime Branch ADGP submitted his recommendation to the DGP.
Meanwhile, the ADGP’s report stated that Jasminshah was not cooperating with officials during the early stage if the investigation. Jasminshah had moved Kerala High court against the investigation.
