Final list of hajj pilgrims 2023 out; 11,010 passengers from Kerala

Kondotty: 11,010 pilgrims will fly for Hajj via Kerala State Haj Committee from June. As many as 6852 passengers will commence their journey from Karipur International Airport while 2247 and 1907 will fly from Kochi and Kannur airports, respectively.

Out of the total passengers, 6778 pilgrims are women while the remaining 4232 pilgrims are men.

In the initial phase, 10,331 persons were selected for the pilgrimage. However, 491 passengers from Kerala cancelled their slots later. As Kerala secured 679 more seats which were cancelled in other states, 1170 persons in the waiting list under Kerala State Haj Committee got the opportunity for the pilgrimage.

The haj committee has decided to conduct an extensive hajj camp at the embarkation points- Kozhikode, Kannur and Kochi airports. The committee will soon launch sub committees for the reception, registration, programme, transport, accommodation, stage, light and sound, water distribution, media, volunteers, and health and sanitation at the camp.
