Kozhikode: LJD Kerala state president MV Shreyams Kumar said that UDF is making baseless allegations against the state government as they feel that LDF would retain power.
The opposition is coming up with lame excuses when the state is trying to create job opportunities and take the economy forward. Shreyams Kumar also said that the opposition should also consider the interest of the state while talking politics. He was addressing a press conference here.
A world class consultancy is needed to provide instructions while trying to implement a huge project such as the E-Bus project. There are many such institutions including in the government sector. But nobody asks what is the condition of those institutions and whether they will be able to undertake such a responsibility. Instead they are making allegations and saying that PricewaterhouseCoopers has been blacklisted. Only their auditing system has been blacklisted, MV Shreyams Kumar pointed out.
He also said that providing government jobs is not the way to solve the problem of unemployment. Institutions that suit us should come to the state. Kerala is a suitable destination for certain sectors at a time when companies are planning to relocate from China. Business should come to Kerala, which has all the basic infrastructures including in human resource. That's the only solution for unemployment in Kerala.
The news that JDS and LJD have decided to reunite is not true. Only the primary discussions have been completed. These discussions will continue. There will be another round of discussion within the next couple of weeks, said the LJD state president.
He added that the final discussion will be taken by JDS and LJD after discussions. There is a natural course of action to be followed when two political parties decide to reunite. That will have to be discussed. He also clarified that there isn’t any difference of opinion in the party and that discussions were not impeded by positions.
Shreyams Kumar also criticised the Muslim League saying that they decided to join hands with others for the sake of temporary political gains. Such a move does not suit a party like Muslim League, he added.
