FB post reminds AK Balan how he threw out Sreedhanya; Minister denies allegations
Kozhikode: A Facebook post that reminds Minister for SC/ST Development A. K. Balan of a past incident after he appreciated Sreedhanya Suresh, the first person who belongs to Kurichya tribe to win civil service, has gone viral. Journalist Saranyamol K. S. posted a note on Facebook mentioning an incident in which a group of civil service trainees were asked to leave from his cabin three years ago.
After Sreedhanya won laurels, Minister A. K. Balan had claimed that the SC/ST development department has a role in her historic victory. Sreedhanya was a student of the civil service training centre under the SC/ST department during the period 2016-17. The minister claimed that the department helped her during the training in this period.
The Facebook post alleged that the minister had once asked the trainees including Sreedhanya to leave from his cabin when they complained against the then principal of the institution for mentally torturing them. Also he tried to shut down the institution accusing that nobody could win IAS from there, it is alleged.

Soon after the Facebook went viral, minister A. K. Balan has come up with a reply to the accusations. He also posted a note in Facebook denying the allegations.
