Farmer's death due to tiger attack: No negligence on medical college's side, states report

Mananthavady: The medical education department director has submitted a report to health minister Veena George, regarding allegation that there was a delay in treatment of the farmer who died in a tiger attack in Wayanad. As per the report, there was no negligence from the part of Wayanad medical college.

Thomas was severely injured in the tiger attack. The report stated that senior doctors including the surgeon examined Thomas and he was taken to the Kozhikode medical college in a 108 ambulance after they stabilised him. He was accompanied by a staff nurse.

He became critically ill on way due to a heart disease, the report said. It also states the postmortem report indicated that he died of shock due to excessive bleeding from the wounds.
