Kochi: A family of three was found dead at their house in Cheppanam, a locality in Kochi, on Tuesday morning. The deceased are lottery seller Maniyan, his wife Sarojini, and his son Manoj.
Police suspect that Maniyan died by suicide after murdering his family members. The alleged incident happened around 2:30 am on Tuesday. Sarojini and her son were hacked and hit with stones, said reports.
According to neighbours, they heard a verbal feud between the couples until 2:30 am. Later, Maniyan's sister arrived at the house, but the family failed to respond to her. The family was found dead when her daughter forced her way into the house.
Locals say family was facing financial issues.
