Express train goes slow to locate student thrown out of another train
Vatakara: A student who was thrown out of the Tirunelveli- Dadar Express sustained injuries on his head. The student Anurag, 19, belongs to Pattannur in Kannur and was taken to the Kozhikode Medical College hospital. The incident happened on Wednesday at about 8 in the night.
Anurag was returning back after attending the exam conducted by the Navy in Ernakulam and was accompanied by 3 of his friends. The incident happened near Kunhipally and Anurag’s friends immediately informed the co-passengers who inturn communicated to the Vatakara railway station. The police only knew that the boy was thrown out of the train between Nadapuram Road and Mahe.
The Vatakara station superintendent directed the Coimbatore-Kannur passenger to go slowly inspecting the tracks. As directed, the loco pilot of the train found Anurag lying unconscious near the tracks at Kunhipally. The loco pilot along with the help of other passengers took Anurag in the same train and brought him to Mahe. He was rushed to Kozhikode in an ambulance. Anurag sustained brain injuries.
