Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K. Surendran said that Higher Education Minister K. T. Jaleel must explain what the Enforcement Directorate asked him.
As a cabinet member, Jaleel, who wrote on Facebook that only truth will succeed, must explain to the people what the ED wanted to know from him, Surendran said.
“What did the investigation team want to know from you? What details did the ED share with you? What documents have you been asked to submit?,” Surendran asked Jaleel while addressing a press conference here.
Surendran alleged that the ED had asked Jaleel regarding the illegal assets he had amassed since becoming a minister and that was why the Higher Education Minister was keeping mum.
Surendran also demanded Pinarayi Vijayan why the Chief Minister was not removing Jaleel from the cabinet. The BJP leader alleged that the CM was aware of many of Jaleel’s shady deals.
