Experts suggest total lockdown, might be considered: CM
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that as the COVID transmission increases, even the experts are suggesting to implement a total lockdown. No decision in this regard has been taken yet. However, this should be considered seriously under the current circumstances, he said during the press meet after the COVID review meeting here.
The chief minister added that the students are not responsible for making the crowd during the KEAM entrance examination. It could have been expected that the students would come out in large groups after examination. Restrictions should have been imposed in view of the situation, but it did not happen. So, there is no point in blaming the students, the CM said.
The chief minister said this when the media asked about the police case against the students and parents who came to Pattom St. Mary's School for the entrance examination and the inquiry at the households of the students. CM made it clear that necessary action would be taken after examining the issue.
