Thrissur: Excise officials seized 150 kg of cannabis and MDMA from a massage parlour and arrested a man and woman here on Saturday.
Excise team under Inspector Abdul Ashraf seized the psychotropic drugs from Dreams unisex beauty salon at Shankarayya Road.
The officials arrested Pattambi native Abhilash and Aseena, a native of Mayilippadam in connection with the case. The duo has been running the salon together.
It is alleged that the accused used to sell drugs among the customers in the massage centre and salon. Excise inspected the salon after receiving a complaint from the locals over a quarrel with the customers of the salon in the name of car parking.
