Alappuzha: Kayamkulam Excise Range officers conducted a raid in a house in Pathiyoorkala and seized 2,135 litres of spirit stored in 61 cans.
One person, identified as Sajeevan, was arrested in connection with the incident, while his partner, Stephen, managed to escape from the scene. The excise department has launched a search for Stephen.
The raid was carried out following a tip-off received by excise inspector Vijayan CB, who initiated the operation.
