Kochi: Kochi City Police Commissioner CH Nagaraju said that there is no other choice left for actor-producer Vijay Babu other than surrendering in connection with sexual assault case. He said that he would likely return back to Kerala. Meantime, a notice was served to his residential address of actor concerning the same.
The police have collected evidences including CCTV footage from a luxury hotel and flats in Kochi. They added that this helped in ascertaining the whereabout of the actress as mentioned in the complaint.
Police said that no other official complaints were lodged against the actor despite rumours of some people coming forward with sexual assault allegations against him through social media platforms.
Meanwhile, Vijay Babu has filed an anticipatory bail plea in the court. In the bail plea, he alleged that the actress was trying to blackmail him for roles in his movies. He claimed that after receiving a role in the movie produced by him, the actress tried to establish a relationship with him.
