Ernakulam youth owns record by carving 'Daivadashakam' on pencil lead


Apart from merely carving, Ajith also manages to conduct online classes on pencil carving art to share the tips with others.

Perumbavoor (Ernakulam): Pencil carving is a passion for Ajith and the skill has now taken him to India Book of Records. Ajith owns the record by carving on pencil lead the lines of 'Daivadashakam' written by Sree Narayana Guru. He completed the work within 13.3 hours.

Ajith started working on the carving mission during the lockdown. Friends at the Kerala Pencil Carvers community also inspired him in the work to set a record with the carving skills.

Apart from merely carving, Ajith also manages to conduct online classes on pencil carving art to share the tips with others. He also gained attention by promoting messages carved on pencil lead on the World Environment Day.

Ajith's father Jayan is an electronic technician and mother Radha is working in a food packing company. His brother Akhil is a computer engineer and sister Anagha is a PG student.
