Kochi: At a time when there are concerns over the spread of coronavirus in Ernakulam district, Hibi Eden MP has lauded district Collector S. Suhas who is spearheading the prevention activities.
The MP took to his Facebook page to laud the Collector, other officials and health workers for their sacrifices during these testing times.
“From the beginning of the COVID-19 prevention activities, Collector S. Suhas is on a relentless battle. He has always been just a ‘click’ away day and night,” the MP said.
Suhas and his wife welcomed a child in February, just before the pandemic broke out. The IAS officer, who saw his baby after delivery, had been unable to visit them ever since. It’s a strange and difficult situation where he cannot enjoy one of the most joyful moments in life, he said.
Just like the Collector, many of our officials and health workers have sacrificed such moments and dreams in their life for us, he added.
But despite all that, there are some people who don’t even consider such sacrifices and roam around without wearing masks or maintaining social distancing. Such people are challenging all the good work done for preventing COVID-19, the Congress leader criticised.
“We must listen to what the officials and health workers say and never forget what they have done for us,” the MP urged.
