Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that EP Jayarajan will not be booked over the incident of hitting Youth Congress activists who protested inside CM’s flight. He informed the matter during the Assembly session with a report. He said that the Youth Congress activists have not mentioned such a thing in the complaints filed in court and with the police. He also added that EP Jayarajan was only trying to defend the CM when the men tried to attack him.
The CM spoke on the matter in reply to the questions raised by MLAs of the opposition about the case. He said that the Youth Congress activists alleged such an attack to minimise the gravity of the act they committed. The opposition also asked whether the government has sought legal advice over booking case against EP Jayarajan, to which the CM responded that legal advice was not sought in the matter.
The accused in the case, Farseen Majeed, said that the CM is denying justice for the common man. He said that he had filed a complaint with Valiyathura police against EP Jayarajan over the matter. The CM is fooling the Assembly by denying it. Farseen said that what EP Jayarajan did was not an act of defence as he had launched himself against them.
